inside my small world

I once lived day by day. Now I love hour by hour.

You never know. Lately I've been finding that it's the little things that put me over the top-- a rip in a new jacket, waking up with a sore throat in the morning. I can handle all of it, or at least I tell myself that. I can handle college applications. I can handle months of SAT prep and the impending date of the test. I can handle my school workload. I can handle the sense of age and looming I feel with my birthday approaching and senior year fast progressing. I can handle it all. Until I can't.

If I stay in my little shell, I can handle it. If I step an inch further, I can't.

I'm trying to take time to do things outside of life. Like art. Walking around my neighborhood and forcing myself to find five beautiful things until I am happy again. My world consists of very little things right now. This picture. That color. Smooth and swirl here.

I am not the artist. I am merely the colors.

Furthermore. This is a just a period. It shall pass and be done with.

I do not wish to live inside a small world and can't remain here long. Everyday I am being carried beyond it, because I certainly don't have the feet to walk on my own.
